Terms of Service

• You need to be at least 18 to use Held.
• You sign in with Google or Microsoft and are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep it secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
• The Mac app uses a token from your Settings. Treat it like a password, and reset it if it leaks.

When you connect a calendar, Zoom or Granola, you authorize Held to read the data described in our Privacy Policy and to act for you. That includes creating, moving and cancelling calendar events and Zoom meetings for bookings made through your link, and emailing your guests about them. You're responsible for having the right to share your meeting information with Held, and for the meetings and messages you choose to send.

You agree not to:

• use Held to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or break anti-spam, privacy or telemarketing laws;
• impersonate anyone, or claim a name that misleads people about who you are;
• harass, deceive or harm the people you meet with;
• upload anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
• probe, overload, or try to get around Held's security or limits, or scrape it;
• resell Held or build a competing service from it.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put other people at risk.

• Your held.page name is a license to use that address while your account is in good standing. It isn't property, and you can't sell or transfer it.
• Some names are reserved. We may reclaim a name that infringes a trademark, impersonates someone, or is being held without being used, for example a free name on an account that never connects a calendar or stays inactive for a year. We'll email you first when we can.
• Free accounts can change their name once every 30 days. After a change, your old name redirects for 14 days and then becomes available to others.
• Premium names are one-word names with no hyphen or digit, like held.page/greg. They need a paid premium name subscription. If it lapses for 30 days, the name is released and your account moves to a free name.

• Pro and premium names are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Settings, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Payments aren't refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your subscription.
• Prices don't include taxes, which may be added where required.

Held uses AI to draft follow-ups and read emails you paste in. Drafts can be wrong or miss context. Review anything before you send it; you're responsible for what goes out under your name.

You own your data, including your calendar, notes and booking pages. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to run Held for you. We own Held itself: the software, design and brand. If you send us feedback, we can use it without owing you anything.

Held works with Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Granola, Stripe and others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their outages or changes. If a provider changes or removes access, a Held feature may stop working.

Held is a young product and will change. We may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep Held running but don't promise it will always be available or error free. If we update these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you or show a notice before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Held after that means you accept the update.

You can stop using Held anytime and delete your account in Settings, or ask us at privacy@meetheld.app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or end the service with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should last, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive.

Held is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Held helps meetings happen but can't guarantee that anyone shows up, replies or buys.

To the extent the law allows, Held isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, deals or data. Our total liability for any claim about Held is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Held, such as messages you sent or content you uploaded, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about Held will be heard in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any protections the law where you live gives you.

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Held. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer these terms without our consent; we can transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business.
